I AM GRIEVING.
You do not need to have the right words before reaching out.
Grief can follow the death of someone you love, but it can also come with illness, divorce, estrangement, caregiving, identity shifts, relocation, pregnancy loss, missed opportunities, career changes, or the life you thought you would have.
However grief has found you, you deserve space to speak honestly about it.
Normalizing Grief offers one-on-one grief coaching, peer-led support spaces, and resources for people navigating loss in its many forms.
One-on-One Grief Coaching
Grief coaching provides a compassionate space to talk through what you are carrying, how grief is showing up in your life, and what support may look like for you now.
This is not about fixing you.
It is about creating room for what is true, helping you find language for what feels hard to explain, and supporting you as you move through life after loss at your own pace.
Grief coaching may support you with:
naming and understanding your grief
navigating life after death, change, or major transition
feeling less isolated in what you are carrying
exploring identity shifts after loss
preparing for difficult dates, events, or conversations
finding ways to care for yourself without rushing your grief
making space for memory, love, anger, guilt, confusion, and hope
What to expect
You can come as you are. You do not need to be composed, polished, spiritual, certain, or ready to “move forward.”
Grief coaching is a space for conversation, reflection, support, and practical next steps. Some sessions may focus on what happened. Others may focus on what is happening now.
There is no one right way to grieve.
Support Meetings
For bereaved parents, Normalizing Grief is connected to monthly peer support meetings through The Compassionate Friends Ajax, serving parents across the Greater Toronto Area who have experienced the death of a child at any age, from any cause.
Resources
You may also find support through our grief literacy resources, reading lists, tools, and guides.
